How to Use BANBOX™

Position. Engage. Move. Resist. Progress.

BANBOX™ uses integrated resistance tubes to provide controlled resistance through functional, multidirectional movement. The fingers are positioned between the resistance tubes, allowing the user to grip, push, pull, twist, rotate, and move against resistance in multiple directions.

BANBOX™ can be used to train individual fingers, multiple fingers, the full hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, shoulder, and lower extremities. Exercises can be performed one side at a time or bilaterally depending on the BANBOX™ system and the user’s individual goals.

Getting Started

  1. Position BANBOX™
Place BANBOX™ on a stable table, countertop, or floor. Integrated suction cups help stabilize the system during use. BANBOX™ may also be positioned vertically using the appropriate mounting method.
  2. Position Your Hand
Place the fingers between the resistance tubes so they can comfortably engage and grip the tubing. Use one finger, several fingers, or the entire hand depending on the movement being performed.
  3. Begin With the Appropriate Resistance
Select a BANBOX™ resistance level appropriate for the user’s strength and ability. Lighter resistance is recommended for beginners or users requiring less resistance. Higher resistance levels are designed for progressive strengthening and more advanced training.
  4. Perform Controlled Movements
Move slowly and under control through a comfortable range of motion. BANBOX™ supports movements including gripping, pinching, pushing, pulling, pressing, twisting, rotating, reaching, flexion, extension, and multidirectional movement patterns.
  5. Change Position & Direction
Movement can be performed forward, backward, side-to-side, diagonally, and rotationally. Changing hand, arm, body, or BANBOX™ positioning creates additional exercise variations.
  6. Progress as Appropriate
Resistance, repetitions, movement direction, range of motion, and exercise complexity can be progressed according to the user’s goals and abilities.

One Finger. One Hand. Two Hands. Full Movement.

BANBOX™ allows users to isolate individual fingers or integrate the entire upper extremity into functional movement patterns.

BANBOX™ Flex supports single-hand training and may accommodate two hands simultaneously when hand size and the selected exercise allow.

BANBOX™ Flex Pro uses two BANBOX™ units—one for each hand—allowing simultaneous bilateral movement, independent resistance training, cross-body patterns, coordination exercises, and two-handed functional training.

Lower Extremity Use

BANBOX™ can also be positioned on the floor for selected lower-extremity movements involving the feet and toes. Exercise selection and positioning should be appropriate for the individual user’s abilities and goals.

For Healthcare Professionals

BANBOX™ provides clinicians with a versatile platform for selecting and progressing resistance-based activities according to the patient’s abilities and treatment goals. Movement may be modified through resistance level, direction, range of motion, positioning, repetitions, unilateral or bilateral use, and the number of fingers engaged.

For rehabilitation or therapeutic use, exercise selection, resistance, range of motion, repetitions, and progression should be determined by the treating healthcare professional.

Important Safety Information

Always inspect BANBOX™ and the resistance tubing before use. Use controlled movements and remain within a comfortable range of motion. Do not use damaged equipment or overstretch the resistance tubing. Stop use if pain, dizziness, numbness, unusual discomfort, or other concerning symptoms occur.

Children and individuals requiring assistance should use BANBOX™ only with appropriate supervision.
